The National Monument is located in the Jardin Anglais, one of Geneva’s tourist hotspots. It was inaugurated in 1869 and symbolizes the entry of Geneva into the Swiss Confederation on 12th September 1814. The monument was constructed to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this alliance, which was commemorated with celebrations in September 1864. The monument was designed by architect Marc Camoletti and sculptor Robert Dorer.

One of the best places in the city to visit. The ferris wheel provides a great view of the city and lake. Its ticket is for 7CHF. There are souvenir shops and ice cream stalls. Great place to visit with family and friends.The monument is beautiful covered by so many beautiful lush flowers.

National monument Geneva with two women each carrying a sword and sheild located in Jardin Anglais represent reunification of Geneva with Switzerland. It's a beautiful structure. You can click pictures of these goddess and then can lead yourself to the flower clock also located in Jardin Anglais.
