Plage de Vidy-Bourget

Been here quite a few times now and it's a pretty good artificial beach if you are in Lausanne, you have sand (a bit mixed with dirt) and a big grass area with lots of shades.You have at least 2 public toilets and a place where they rent some Paddles, boats, etc.Just be aware that during hot day on the weekend there is a lot of people having barbecues so there is a lot of smoke during the lunch hour.

I would recommend some other beach in or near Lausanne. There are many people during the weekend, which results in a thin film od sunscreen cream on the water surface. Location otherwise ok.

Lovely beach! The water was a wonderful temperature. It was a bit crowded, but otherwise a wonderful place to spend an afternoon.

Beautiful and lively. A bit noisy and smelly but I guess it's part of the charm.

Delightful spot by the shores of lake Geneva. The water is very refreshing and great to swim (in August at least). The beach was very quiet on a Saturday afternoon, which surprised us. There is also a good Italian restaurant nearby.

Wenn das Wetter mitspielt wirklich sehr schön. Restaurants gibt es auch. Und Grillplätze wenn man sich selbst versorgen möchte. Ansonsten, Genfer See, mehr muss man nicht sagen.
