In collaboration with Wild Yak Expeditions and the Butterfly Help Project, my husband, my son and I headed to the remote Kangchenjunga Region to put in place a project that is close to our heart: building a sustainable agricultural ecosystem which includes apple trees, chicken and bees.We knew we were in good hands with WYE for handling all the logistic, transport, lodging and material. As this was a particular trip combining trekking and the project, we were not too sure how everything would unfold and if we would have enough time and energy to complete it. Our doubts quickly dissipated when we saw everyone’s commitment, motivation and happiness. Not only our little team of 8 worked super hard but many villagers came to help and showed their support. It was just incredible and an amazing human experience.We will be back in April for the next phase of the project and we can’t wait to meet again with the whole team, the villagers and the beautiful sceneries of the Kangchenjunga mountain range.Thank you Andrea, Norbu, Kesang, Dawa, Pasang, Sila and Nopu for believing and making this project possible.

Vielen Dank für zwei unvergessliche Tage im Berner Oberland mit einer Tour auf den Mönch bei bestem Wetter und als Alternative zur Jungfrau mit einer Tour auf das imposante Wetterhorn in Grindelwald. Super tolle Orga und sehr umsichtiger und gewissenhafter Bergführer, bei dem wir uns in den allerbesten Händen wussten. Einfach rundherum mehr als super gelungen.

Un grand merci à Wild Yak Expeditions, nous avons fait l'ascension du Lobuche Peak et tout c'est très bien passé ! Nous avons rencontré une superbe équipe et l'organisation était parfaite ! De plus la météo et les paysages étaient juste grandioses !!A bientôt j'espère ;)

My partner and I successfully summited the Dom with our guide Thierry Garnier this past weekend. It was a very long day, but we had the best experience. Thierry was an amazing guide; he is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable & experienced, organised & prepared, & always focussed on our safety. He really went above and beyond for us. Thierry is also the most friendly, kind & positive person and we are so glad that we not only have a great guide to call upon for our next adventure, but also a friend! Andrea expertly handled the organisation of the trip and we are very thankful to her as well. We can’t wait to adventure with Wild Yaks again!!

Die Reise war perfekt geplant, auf uns abgestimmt und die Sicherheit stand immer im Vordergrund. Wir haben jeden Tag mit unserer sehr freundlichen Sherpa und unseren Trägern genossen. Allalinhorn – Alphubel 13-14 juillet 2023: magnifique expérience dont je garde encore des étoiles plein les yeux. Deux magnifiques sommets situés côte-à-côtes, gravit dans des conditions extrêmement différentes. Une expérience unique à chaque fois. Mention spéciale pour Thierry notre guide bienveillant, attentionné, à l'écoute et bien sûr hyper compétent. Merci Wild Yak pour l'organisation!

After dreaming of Nepal and especially visiting the Himalaya for 50 (!) years I finally wanted my dreams to come true. For exploring the Himalaya I looked for a travel agent who would not only be professional and reliable but cares for the people, too. In Wild Yak I found exactly what I was looking for, maybe even better. Andrea made a great schedule not only for my trek to Everest Base Camp but for exploring Kathmandu Valley as well. The trip to Nepal turned out to be better than my most beautiful dreams. Wild Yak knows all the good places, the organisation is flawless, the friendly and kindhearted guides have all the knowledge you would ever want for and happily share it. I felt in the best of hands from the first moment I arrived in Kathmandu until I had to leave beautiful Nepal. The Trek to Base Camp was fantastic and I will dream about it until my next trip. With Wild Yak. Who else. Highly recommended.
