Makoura

I bought a 100% cotton futon here about 9 years ago. The futon is still in impeccable condition, and looks brand new, in every way. My only issue with it, is that it is very heavy for me to move or roll up, so I keep it as is, on the floor, all of the time, and only roll it when going on extended vacations. It was my mistake not to specify when I purchased it, that I wanted something a bit more flexible. When I consider buying another futon in the future, I would not hesitate to buy again at Makoura, as the quality is fantastic.. However, I think my next futon will be a 'Shikibuton' - lightweight and easy to move. My only recommendation would be for Makoura to offer futons, and shikibutons made with Bio Cotton!

So far my experience has been incredible. The people at Makoura are friendly and straightforward. The quality of their ware is top notch. The shop has an amazing look, feels like you are in an old work shop in Japan.They will not lie to you to try and upsell you on a futon, they will encourage you to take the time needed to find what works for your body. I have already spent multiple hours over two days, my choice of futon is down to two now and I know I will be happy with my choice.They will answer any questions you have and can also advise you on customisations, most of what they make is customisable.Also ounce you buy a futon you can bring it back to the store for customisation or revitalisation. Let's say in 10 or so years you feel your futon is coming to the end of it's life, you may simply book an appointment, bring it back to Makoura and they will put a new filling inside. If your futon has a Latex or Coco middle layer, they will not replace that as it lasts longer than the other materials, coton and wool will be replaced. So if sustainability is something on your mind they are perfect.I recommend the Alivia Natural Pillow with Millet grains inside with it's protective outer cover. Together they make the best pillow I've tried in my life but of course try it for yourself in store. I went for size 40x60 find what works best for you.I will update my review with pictures and the futon I buy.

J'ai acheté un lit YASUMI en 2010 , jusqu'à 2014 pas de problèmes , mais en 2015 le vernis du bout de mon lit à éclaté et lorsque j'ai appelé le responsable pour lui expliquer ! Il m'as laissé entendre que j'aurais mis un produit dessus qui aurait causé cette réaction , alors que je le nettoie toujours avec un chiffon . Donc à ce jour personnes ne veux rien faire pour résoudre mon problème. Donc je me retrouve avec un lit avec le vernis qui s'en vas ! Pas très cool car le prix du lit n'est pas donné .

The service, from ordering through to delivery, has been excellent.They are friendly, efficient, punctual and the products are high quality. I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Nous avons attendu patiemment et gentiment notre lit pendant 7 mois, qui n'est toujours pas arrivé/commandé à ce jour. Nous renonçons à notre commande et irons ailleurs: c'est bien dommage que la gestion des commandes par le patron soit aussi mauvaise, conduisant à un service-client inefficace.
