John Wisdom is an absolutely incredible photographer. I reached out to him from the United States since Amber and I were traveling to Europe for vacation and I wanted to propose to her there. I chose Switzerland because that was our number one spot that we wanted to visit. John's communication from the beginning was super easy and helpful. He suggested a ton of different places for the proposal and we landed on Harder Kulm, which is in Interlaken, Switzerland. He arrived early and set up perfectly for the surprise proposal. He captured the perfect shots of the surprise engagement and stayed for over an hour to take more photos of us throughout the top. He goes above and beyond what you would expect. He did an absolutely amazing job and I would highly recommend him to anyone taking photos in the area or anywhere in Europe! Photography is his passion and it shows in his work and attitude. Thank you for everything you did for us John.

My partner worked with John Wisdom to coordinate a proposal photoshoot at the Iseltwald Pier this past month, and we had a great experience! The final photos were lovely, and John was very easy to communicate with leading up to the day. We also appreciate that he woke up quite early on a Sunday morning to help us beat the crowd, and he edited the photos extremely quickly.I saw another reviewer mention as a negative that John provided too many similar photos to choose from, rather than a curated subset, which seems like a silly complaint. There's a lot of variation in aesthetic preferences, so it was great to be able to pick exactly the pictures we wanted based on slight differences in facial expression, framing, lighting, etc.Overall, John was was fantastic to work with (gave us a lot of good posing direction, stayed to capture extra photos when lighting conditions changed), and his prices are very reasonable. My husband and I chose John for a photoshoot on our honeymoon in our wedding attire. He was very flexible with our shoot. We were in Interlaken for 4 days and had planned to do it our first day, but due to weather we had to keep pushing it back until our last day there. Fortunately we got some good weather on our last day and were able to go through with the shoot. He took us to some great locations that my husband and I never would have even known about, which was awesome. Because of the lighting equipment that he used for us since it wasn't sunny the whole time, some of our pictures look a bit unnatural due to our bright appearance and the darker appearance of the background, but they're still pretty spectacular. When we received our pictures, we received all of the pictures he took, so a lot of them look similar, if not identical. He also sent a lot of the photos with 2-4 different filters for us to choose from. Some people may really like that, but for us, it just made that many more similar photos for us to have to go through and choose from. Overall, John was super nice and helpful, and we got close to an hour extra than what we had paid for.

I had planned to propose to my girlfriend in the Jungfrau region in Switzerland and through my research of photographers in the area, John was the ideal choice. From his webpage, it was clear that he had a lot of experience with engagement photography and locations for engagement shoots. John provided assistance in selecting a location that best met the landscape we were looking for and helped with coordination prior to and on the day of the photo shoot.On the day of the photo shoot, John and I met up discretely as discussed, and then he hiked ahead of us, meeting us at the photo shoot location. John captured excellent photos of the proposal, and for the engagement photoshoot, he helped suggest various poses and locations to best capture the natural landscape of the area. John also took some additional photos of us in some other poses and with the nearby cows, per our request. John joined us on the hike back to the second photo shoot location and we thoroughly enjoyed his company and conversation, even taking some additional photos along the way.Within a couple of days, John had provided us with all of the photos, as well as edited photos. We requested some additional edits and John quickly made the requested changes. We really enjoyed John’s photo composition and edits, which really showcased the natural beauty of the landscape and of course, made us look great as a newly engaged couple.Overall, John was a pleasure to work with, given his professionalism, cordial nature and photography experience. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have their special moment captured on camera.

John was great, we loved taking pictures with him. Always very polite and with nice ideas for the photos. He knew all the beautiful places and the result was amazing photos! Highly recommend.

John took amazing pictures of my fiancée and I's proposal overlooking Interlaken. He was professional and knowledgeable of the area spending ample time with us to capture all the shots. Friends and family were more interested in the amazing photos than with our engagement!

Our experience with John was awesome! We are not used to posing in front of a camera, but with him, we felt at ease after a few shots! He also knows the place very well! Knows the best time to go to the shooting location, and knows the best spots in town. Based on what we have seen so far, the photos are looking perfect! We cannot wait to see the rest! ☺

Great Value for Money! We really love getting John on our Pre-Wedding Photoshoot in Interlaken. Quality wise, he has a very good knowledge on the perfect locations and camera angles for a great photo (See attached photos). He was also able to take great photos even if the weather is not that nice (But not the worse weather ofcourse, every photo has limits). Price wise, He really has a very competitive pricing and no nonsense and hidden fees. Rates are also not hidden from you, or you need to email first (Which honestly is a waste of time) so no nasty surprises. You will get what was written on the website and no unseen surprises. He even gave us more photos than was agreed upon, which is really nice. Personality wise, He is really friendly and can even give you some nice trivias on the photo locations you are going to. Highly recommended!

My fiancé and I had a fantastic experience with John for a surprise proposal. During planning, he was always quick to respond to emails and provided regular updates to help navigate challenging weather conditions on the proposal date. Our pictures turned out great and they were edited well and quickly. I would recommend John for your special day!
