A photo session can be a difficult experience for many musicians. As opposed to performance, where one can lose oneself in the moment of communication while focusing on sound and musical flow, in a photo session one often becomes overly self-conscious, concerned about appearance, clothing, facial expressions, etc. This is where Daniele Caminiti comes in: he is first and foremost a musician, with an ear for the visual and an eye for the auditory, who has the ability to create an atmosphere of musical communication without sound. His photographs avoid the stiff formality that is often the result of musician’s photo sessions, replaced with a feeling of spontaneous togetherness similar to what one strives for in musical performance. An ideal combination of excellent photographer and outstanding musician!
