Having stayed at Cydonia for over 6 months, I can only speak highly about the the most beautiful space created and designed by the lovely owner herself.From an extremely spacious and modern kitchen for everyone’s use, a luscious garden perfectly suited for a summer’s get-together, to rooms of your dreams with the most love and care put into thought. Let’s not forgot about the original wooden-floored cozy living room with its fire place ready to be lit on those cold days. The finest details will most definitely not be left out at Cydonia!I cannot wait to be welcomed by the host’s most sincere and sympathetic aura again, making you feel like you are right at home and always taken care of from the second you walk into the door - accompanied by delicious home-made goodies.Definitely a stay you will not forget for the better. Until next time!

Owing to frequent business trips to Basel I've now stayed in Cydonia twice and it's been delightful both times. The house is gorgeous and stately, with tall ceilings and well-appointed rooms. The penthouse apartment is particularly nice, with beautiful views of the city and a famous cathedral over the shingled rooflines. The garden out back is its own little verdant oasis, too - with vines, sculpture and seating for small get-togethers. There is laundry in the basement for extended stays; on those same stays I've always had fresh flowers in my room, and the hosts are magnificent (I mistakenly failed to return the key upon departure last time, and they let me drop it off at work!).On that note, the location is very convenient to Basel SBB as well as to the Roche tower; it's merely a short tram ride to both.Finally, one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the city is about 3 blocks away, and there's a grocery store (Coop) literally around the corner if you want to use the nice kitchen at the Bnb. What more could you ask for?

Übernachten und Verweilen der besonderen Art!!! Liebevoll renoviertes und geschmackvoll ausgestattetes Haus!! Ein angenehmer, heimeliger Aufenthaltsort mit tollem Service an zentraler und doch ruhiger Lage in Basel. Dass hat Basel noch gefehlt!

Aesthetische Oase. Familiengeschichte lebt fort. Liebevolle Details und herzliche Beherberung. Ein Ort um sich zu erholen, zu geniessen und einfach zu sein.Gut gelegen: Innenstadt, Stadtrand und Bahnhof zu Fuss erreichbar.Einkaufsladen, Fahrradshop/Werkstatt, Zoo, Schwimmbad, Park, Markthalle sowie thailändisch oder anatolisches Restaurant gleich ums Eck!Danke für das schöne Wochenende. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!
