We rented a car for 13 daysPaid 10% more than our friends for the exact same carThe car did not have floor carpets and we returned it with crumbs from food (which we didn't have a way to clean as there were no carpets).After returning the car they charged us 120CHF !!! for special cleaning.This is not the my first car rent with my family, but it's the first time I got charged for special cleaning (which I could have vacuumed my self with 5 minutes of work)UPDATE 22/08/2023 : No reply on the email I sent, seems like a generic reply just to show they care, but as you can see they didn't even reply..UPDATE 15/08/2023 : I sent an email with the details to the email below

This was really a bait and switch operation. We had selected a car prior to going which would have allowed us to carry all the luggage for four adults for 5 weeks. When we got there, they said oh they didn't actually have that car. We'd have to get a different one. The alternate was significantly more expensive. Then they told us the insurance we had purchased only covered the other car involved in an accident, and didn't cover us or any damage to our car, we'd have to buy extra insurance. There were also several other items that they tacked on so the car ended up costing several hundred euros more than we had expected. So much for their comment no hidden costs.Apparently we were not the only ones that had the problem. When we tried to get our we waited over an hour because everybody in front of us had issues with their reservation as well.I would have given this a one, but the car we ended up with was good, and we did have a good trip.

They had damages on the car before we got it, but after we returned, they just filed a payment against for those damages. Please beware, make sure you make a comprehensive video before you get a car from here, or better yet, don't. It was a 2k extra charge for us, looters.

We had a really poor experience with Sixt in Zurich and definitely will not recommend their services. We hired a car for three days and as per agreement we returned the car on time. They charged us for additional 3 days in total 6 days and deducted the money from our credit card without our authorization and also prior to sending the invoice. They provided a partial refund excluding the foreign transaction fees we had to incur because of their mistake. Please be very cautious when providing the credit card details to this company as they will charge you without your approval.

Excellent staff, excellent cars and professional service. They care for customers. I booked a hatch back but as upgrade was offered SUV free of cost. The car condition was like new. They hardly took 5 minutes for car handover and 05 minutes for car return. I had a great experience with sixt, i would definitely use it again.

Geschäftlich sind wir am 21.11.2022 am Flughafen in Zürich gelandet. Wir haben den Service von SIXT angenommen und hier ein Fahrzeug bestellt. In der Buchungsbestätigung haben wir eine sehr gute Beschreibung für den Abholort im Flughafen Zürich erhalten. Der Weg war gut beschrieben und es waren dann doch einige Meter zu laufen. Hier sollte man unbedingt erwähnen, dass wir dann per Fahrstuhl in die beschriebene Etage mussten. Allerdings waren wir irritiert, dass wir an den Fahrstühlen keine Bedienungstasten finden konnten. Allerdings löste sich dann das Rätsel, da es eigentlich gut ersichtlich auf dem Fußboden beschrieben war, dass ein Bedienpult etwa 2 Meter vor den Türen gab. Also hier aufgepasst. Die Abwicklung am Tresen verlief ohne Störung und professionell. Die Warteschlange war lang und es gab für Onlinebuchungen keinen Vorteil z.B. separate und schnellere Abwicklung. Soweit, so gut, allerdings waren wir dann doch überrascht, wie die Fahrzeuge abgestellt waren. Wenn mein Kollege nicht sehr sportlich gewesen wäre, dann weiß ich nicht, wie man in das Fahrzeug hineinkommen sollte. Nachdem wir das dann erledigt hatten, war alles in Ordnung. Alles in allen benötigten wir trotz Vorbuchung und Weg zum SIXT-Service-Center 1,5 Stunden. Das sollte man für seinen Zeitplan nicht unterschätzen. Zum Preis kann ich an der Stelle nichts sagen, da es ein Firmenvertrag gibt. Das Fahrzeug war sauber und gepflegt. Auch die Winterbedingungen wurden beachtet. Die Abgabe des Autos war relativ einfach. Der schlüssel wurde in ein entsprechendes Fach gelegt. Durch Baumaßnahmen war zwar die Zufahrt zum Parkhaus nicht gleich einfach zu finden, aber es war auch nicht unmöglich. Die Beschreibung bzw. Hinweisschilder haben gut geholfen.

Stay away from Sixt! This is a scam company! BUT if you still feel the need to rent a car from them, please make sure you take pictures from every single inch of the car when you pick it up AND when you drop it off! They will charge you for any damage, and they will find damage and will send you a bill for the repair cost! Even the damage is not caused by you! BE AWARE! TAKE PICTURES WHEN YOU DROP OFF with time stamp and exact location!

I would not give this company any stars if I could we had travel delays and they gave away our reservation after an hour without any notification, the manager was extremely rude and would not even speak to us about this issue or attempt to help us in any way. They claim after an hour they can give away your reservation which is not stated anywhere in the booking or the confirmation emails I received. I have never been treated so poorly by a manger in my life. Stay away from this company when choosing a rental car!!!!!

Although the prices are decent compared to the other major companies and the cars are good quality and in good condition the device needs improvement. Too little desk help to support too many client and they re always trying to sell you more insurance packages. It’s also unacceptable that the exterior insurance does not support glass and tire damages.
