National Rent A Car - Geneva Airport (CH)

This team could teach a master class in customer service for any industry. The rental agent I had was a pleasure to work with, helping work through a small challenge in my rental and coming up with a wonderful solution. The return agent was equally delightful and made me feel like a valued VIP. I had not rented with National in a long time, but will definitely be back, especially when I need a car in Geneva! I had a reservation online. I went to the airport and at time to pick up the car they didn't accept my credit car nor contact less neither. I asked for a money refund and nobody took responsibility. The employee was so unpleasant too.

Charged me 800 euros for damage i'm pretty sure I didn't cause (they did the inspection after i left) and I haven't been able to reach a single person in three weeks to resolve it. the people at the counter were nice enough, but the company that owns the franchise has atrocious customer service.

I experienced fraudulent vehicle damage claims. From quick searching online, that seems to be a very common occurrence at this location. I would avoid this location unless you like surprise, fraudulent 1000 CHF bills.

Amazing customer service at the Geneva Airport National. Jane was the employee who helped us and she made the rental car experience one to remember. Kind, knowledgeable, engaging and helpful. There should be more customer service reps like Jane!

I was leery to rent from one of the rental car agencies at the Geneva Airport due to many negative reviews, but we needed a car so we found a great deal with National!!! I was pleasantly surprised and how easy and seamless the process was. We reserved through Expedia and when we arrived at the National Car Rental desk in the airport, the agent was super nice and helpful. We reserved the car and were taken by their shuttle bus to the pick up area. Very easy. The agent there, Michael, assisted us in checking out the car and all of it's features (it was standard transmission - something we haven't driven in quite a while). We chose unlimited mileage which was great as we drove all over Switzerland and northern Italy. Car return was also simple. You return to the same location you picked up from. They looked over the car, saw that it was in perfect condition and refunded my deposit within an hour. I would definitely use National at the Geneva airport again in a heartbeat.
