Massage 1936 - Verbier

Leanne has work with us a number of times when we have been delivering group cycling holidays and tours through Switzerland and France. She's always fast at making a great connection with the participants as well as meeting there needs through treatment and advice. She's also great at driving the support van and feeding the thousands! :-) Thanks Leanne!

I spent my first winter in Verbier but infuriatingly injured myself just before new year. My ski instructor recommended that I go and see Laura Due at Massage 1936 for treatment. I am so grateful that he did! Laura's skeletomuscular system expertise was astonishing and it meant that we could work together to find a creative treatment plan that did not bore me (which was crucial as it meant I stuck to it) and she also helped enormously with pain management. As I slowly recovered from my injury, overseen by Laura, she recommended that I try skinning for the first time and advised on technique that would best benefit me, which absolutely changed my winter! I was able to enjoy being on the mountain and benefitted from the fresh air while partaking in a low-impact activity that fed into my recovery programme, and my skiing FOMO nearly disappeared completely. After eight weeks, I was back on Alpine skis and managed to get down Col des Mines, which was nothing short of miraculous! I even bought a voucher for a massage with Laura for a friend's birthday (which was extremely well-received). I cannot recommend her more highly: thank you, Laura.

Highly recommend 1936 Verbier and particularly Lulu. She is very professional, kind and warm at the same time. Lulu easily recognises what my body needs and helps me improve my scoliosis. Every massage with her is pleasure and relief.

I can highly recommend this place! I had the very best experience with Laura Atkin. Laura is a complete gem. I do not say this lightly. Due to an injury in my childhood I have to go to medical massages since many years and have about 100-120 massages a year. Laura stands out and is now in my top 10 out of 1000s of very good therapists that I have experienced over the years. She hits every knot in a perfect manner and is highly professional in her approach.

Anna is our savior !!! we havent been skiing regularly (as we live in Hong Kong) but met with the greatest weather and snow conditions here, we are saved by the wonderful massage by Anna who has such a deep understanding of the body and the skills to relieve our pain, tightness and stress so we can keep skiing and enjoy it. I highly recommend her, one of the best masseurs we ever had. We would not have been able to go on and wasted my time here without her, deeply grateful and hope more can benefit from her service.
