Professional, super dog caring and very available - Francesca is a great dog trainer who will help you to understand your dog and build a mutually beneficial training relationship with it. Bonus points also for the email summaries she provides we get after every session - you will never forget what you learned.

I have found Happy Dogs randomly on a Google search when we were looking for some help to train our rescue dog who was extremely afraid. But what we learned turned out to be so much more than we could have anticipated. Francesca transformed our understanding of the needs of our pet and our ability to communicate with her, take care of her and make her life better.We are so grateful to have met Francesca, she has been so kind and helpful it is impossible to imagine of a better trainer. We only met twice and she helped us: better train our dog, adapt the way we walk her, the way we approach other dogs/situations, to use a harness, to use treats properly, which veterinaries to consult for the diverses health problems we encountered (we encountered a lot), how to solve behavioral issues gently (barking at guests, running towards other dogs, pulling on the leash)...We would recommend everyone to get a least a session in with her in order to see how she can be helpful in your relationship with your pet and for the general wellbeing of your pet. Our pet feels so much better thanks to Francesca’s help, and thus we do as well!

Francesca is amazing and has truly helped us settle our rescue dog into our home. She is patient and knows how to interpret dog behaviour in a way that makes sense to the owners. She is always practical about what behaviours need to be addressed first and gives easy to follow instructions that make a big difference quickly. Francesca is a real pro. We asked for her help for our two rescue Australian Shepherds, one of which has dog reactivity issues, and, after just a few months, she has already helped us and the dogs make a lot of progress. As first time dog owners, we had a lot to learn and Francesca has given us a lot of great advice, tips and strategies to become better dog owners and make life easier for our dogs and ourselves. She is super knowledgeable, structured, and always provides a recap of the session with the key pieces of advice, useful links/resources and so on. Would recommend her to any dog owner, especially those struggling with dogs that do not like other dogs. We are particularly happy with her methods based on positive reinforcement which are kind to the dogs.

Excellent advice and very interested, and serious engagement! We adopted a dog that was five years old. The change of owner and possibly its past history meant that our dog had a couple of challenging behavioural problems. Francesca worked with us: she took the time needed to understand the problem, learn to know the dog and find solutions that were based on understanding and supporting the dog - not mastery/submission or discipline by force. It was exactly what the dog needed and a way of working that we wanted. The problems went away and we also got a happier dog in the process. I can warmly recommend Happy Dogs to anyone!

Though it had always been our strong intention, it took our family sometime to start looking for a teacher for our 14-month-old labrador called Mila. Once we contacted Francesca and had our first long consultation session, we realized there was a reason for waiting and we needed just our FRANCESCA. She is a gifted teacher, professional, knowledgeable, creative and what is important to us - full of love to our pets. I was happy to see immediately that our understanding on methodology was mutual – consistency, patience, love, direct dialogues, many repetitions and… of course, many kilos of “bonbons”. Francesca is also a very easy-going person which makes it easier and much more fun to be working together in the team – a teacher, a parent and a dog. Mila gets overexcited with joy every time she meets her beloved teacher before her class. Working with Francesca, following her advice and being good in doing your homework will definitely bring results. You will see your pet happy, well trained and will receive a lot of compliments from your friends and outsiders in the streets. Having completed a series of classes with Francesca, be ready to blush a lot with your dog not with shame but with pride!

Francesca is a great trainer and she really cares about the dogs! She goes the extra mile to ensure you and your pet are comfortable - for me, this included shorter and more frequent sessions (at no extra costs) when she realized my dog was tiring more quickly. She is also available on messages and emails with advice and tips on health, diet, and a range of other things. She takes the time to explain the psychology behind the training techniques, which she customizes to each individual animal. My GSD is very reactive, both to people and (more so) to other dogs, but by following her guidance, we have made great progress. I would highly recommend her services!

Francesca has helped us understand our Woody tremendously through her positive reinforcement methods. She is fun to work with, always gives practical recommendations on how to do things and with follow up emails that are always useful to look back into!
