La Côte International School

We love this school! My son is now in his fourth year at La Cote and he is so happy here. He's had some incredible experiences and made some really great friends. It is the perfect-sized school, the facilities are great, teachers and administration are outstanding. Everyone here, especially his friends, have become like family and are close to our heart. Thank you LCIS for creating such a wonderful atmosphere for students, and for creating such a positive experience for us expat parents :)

It has been more than an year since my kids left this school, but they still remember it so fondly! Had a fantastic experience and saw my kids flourish in this positive, lively and encouraging learning environment! The staff is extremely encouraging and motivating towards the students. Parents are always welcomed and supported in adapting to the new place.

My daughter joined Year 3 as a timid, tearful, schoolphobe, but she has just graduated Primary as a confident young lady who hates to miss a single day of school and who has enjoyed helping other students in various leadership roles. That's partly growing up. But I'm certain that the safe, caring and supportive environment that LCIS provides - coupled with a host of extra-curricular opportunities and encouragement to get involved and develop new talents - has helped her tremendously.

My 2 children were lucky enough to attend LCIS. When our family moved to Switzerland, starting a new school was the thing that I, my husband and the children were most worried about. However, as soon as we arrived, we quickly realised that this should not have been a concern! LCIS is expert at settling in new arrivals quickly and in a manner that is tailored to each child: for example, they figured out on the first day that my daughter was creative and loved music, and they quickly involved her in the junior choir where she met other like-minded kids. There was never a day when they did not want to go to school. When my son started at LCIS, it was quickly identified that he needed reading help. He received reading and spelling support, and his level improved greatly. He was also given huge confidence in reading, and really enjoyed the support classes- he was never made feel different for needing this extra support. The kids’ talents were recognised and nurtured by all the teachers they encountered, in an expert manner that truly impressed me and sets this school apart from others. Areas for development were also identified and worked on in a respectful way, and we, as parents, were kept involved.LCIS is a professionally run organisation. The standard of education is extremely high. Communication from management/staff to parents is always prompt and clear. All staff members we encountered had the kids’ best interests at the centre of everything they did. The school facilities are amazing – large, bright, airy classrooms and a fabulous gym and canteen. We used the school bus service to get the kids to and from school. The extracurricular activities really add to the school experience- they allow the kids to excel at and practice their talents, but also to try new activities that are outside their comfort zone in a safe space. We also used the afterschool care service, & the kids really enjoyed this. The school is large enough to have plenty of facilities and staff members, but small enough that children and parents can quickly get to know the school community and build a network of friends- it is not intimidating for new arrivals.Being part of LCIS was an outstanding experience that our whole family will always remember, and the strong friendships that we all made while being part of the school will stay with us. I would highly recommend the school! I wish LCIS, all the staff members and the wider LCIS community of pupils and parents the very best for the future.

My daughter has joined La Cote Int'l School for a year and she has integrated into the school very smoothly. She absolutely loves this school and so do we!The teachers are really dedicated in teaching and helping the students.The administration has been a breeze and the admin staff are warm and friendly. I felt welcomed the moment I stepped into the school.The school also has a Parent Association (PTA) that takes care of new families joining the school by organising meet ups through events. Through this PTA, I have found a few new friends! I think this is important for me especially being new to Switzerland.Overall, I am really impressed and happy with the school curriculum and bravo to a well thought integration program. I have certainly made the right choice in enrolling my daughter into this school.

We had a great experience at LCIS. The parent community and school helped us tremendously with our transition. My kids were sad to leave having met so many great friends. Thank you LCIS for the amazing experience.

LCIS is not only an international school with a personalized academic support and a high level of education. LCIS is a place where my kids learn every day how they can achieve more in a safe and friendly environment. Parents and kids are involved in different activities where everyone makes you feel part of a great community.

Ensure you ask about the safe guarding policy before considering joining. In addition ask whether this is the right school for your child as following GCSEs only IB is offered.

The care and support offered by the teachers and support staff at LCIS has enabled my son to become the confident learner he is today. I genuinely believe LCIS has provided him with the best academic results he could ever have hoped for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

A truly international feel to this school, with some amazing facilities set in some beautiful countryside with views of snow capped mountains and local vineyards!
