Les Gorges du Durnand

Visited on a rainy Saturday morning in October. There seems to be nowhere the 19th century Swiss couldn't access by train or stairs. The work installing the access here must have been an immense challenge. I loved this climb up the stairs in the gorge. I'm so glad I don't have to maintain it and keep it safe.

Worth the walk

Beautiful and impressive. Can get a little daunting if you are not good with heights, stairs and suspended bridges are for those enjoying challenges and strong minded individuals. You gain confidence however knowing it has been maintained well and constructed impeccably. The waterfall and river thunders past you as you ascend, great experience.

Fantastic place, very beautiful. In July humid like in hell :) I heard it is one of the top 10 most beautiful canyons in Europe.Walking, complete circle took us approx 1h. Wooden stairs will take you along the river going very steep up to the top.Clear water and almost vertical cliffs will take your breath away.In the restaurant just before you will need to buy the tickets. For 2 adults and 1 child was around 26chf.I recommend having good walking/hiking shoes as going back is pretty steep and passing through dusty track inside woods.One thing, if someone is reading , it would be great to have panels in another language except just in french, or at least a link with QR code to other languages.Thanks a lot!

Wunderschöne Klamm /Schlucht, laut unseren Reiseführer eine der Top 10 Schluchten in Europa. Auch unsere 4-Jährige ist die vielen Stufen ohne Murren hoch weil selbst sie es so wunderschön fand. Wir waren schon in zahlreichen Klamms wandern, aber diese ist wirklich eine der schönsten gewesen, wenn auch recht kurz. Hunde sind ebenfalls willkommen. 9 Euro Eintritt für EW. 330 Treppenstufen, 200m Höhendifferenz, über 14 Wasserfälle, einfach wow!

Nice walk in the gorge with great views. It's a shame that there is a lot of old walkway wood in the gorge.

Quite spectacular, was definitely worth the trip!

It is a very beautiful trail. It is a beautiful walking route with a wonderful view of nature.
