Station Gornergrat

The last stop on the Gornergrat railway, all the way up at the top of the mountain. It's at 3089m. A hotel and a restaurant are here as well: the Kulmhotel, which is at 3100m.Plan to spend some time here! Walk around the train platform and take photos of the Matterhorn. Then walk across the bridge to visit Zooom Matterhorn or the hotel / r was restaurant for something to drink or eat.Behind the main building is an area where you can walk to the very top and look at the mountains going in all directions. 29 peaks over 4000m!!!!very pretty spot in the mountains and the passes for taking photos. Another good place to have a long hike after going up. Our favorite, except for the top.The stops in order are:Findelbach at 1783m. Not much here but you can walk down to Zermatt.(Legendar) only in the evening or if someone is waiting. This is a hotel stop.Riffelalp - there are several restaurants here and the late runs in the evening go here. You can walk down to town also after eating.Riffelberg - a pretty spot in the mountain passes. A hotel and restaurant are here. Worthwhile! 2583m.Rotenboden at 2815m. Another pretty spot. Walk to the Rifflesee, a small lake with sometimes Matterhorn reflections.Enjoy!

Beautiful view to the Matterhorn! Go for the gourmetticket! It all starts in Kulm Hotel on Gornergrat. Take then the train to Rotenboden and head for Riffelsee. You can then walk to Riffelberg and take the train to Riffelalp or taking it directly to Riffelalp.
